Legislation is targeting fully electric school bus fleets, and in some states by 2035. As of Nov. 2023, 32% of all districts nationwide have a plan to begin the conversion process.

There are 180,000 wrecker trucks in the U.S. A gas tow truck costs $0.87 per mile to operate, while an electric just costs $0.08.
